Disney World's mysterious 'utilidoors' explained

There is a secret hiding beneath Disney World in Florida and it ain't Walt Disney's cryogenically frozen body.

A large network of service tunnels traverses the entire park known to staff as "utilidoors" – utility corridors – that allow workers to make their way around the park unnoticed.

The legend behind their creation tells that Disney himself ordered they be built after he got upset seeing a cowboy walking through Tomorrow Land,[http://mentalfloss.com/article/67485/inside-disney-worlds-secret-tunnels|popup=true|Mental Floss] reports.

Disney believed the anachronistic appearance of the man from the Wild West diminished the magic of the "happiest place on Earth".

The tunnels serve as the park's arteries and central nervous system with wardrobes that have been home to millions of costumes, a hairdresser known as the Kingdom Kutters and a cafeteria called the Mouseketeria.

The other secret – they're not even underground but built on the ground level with the park built on top.
