Colourful creations take centre stage

Youngsters had an egg-cellent time showing off their colourful creations which they entered in an Easter bonnet parade last Saturday.

Hosted by Spirit 102.9 Broome, Red FM 101.3 Broome and the Prime West Broome Boulevard Shopping Centre, organisers invited children to design their own Easter-themed bonnet and exhibit them in front of crowds for the chance to win some prizes.

Entry was by gold coin donation with all proceeds going to Feed the Little Children.

Broome milliner Felicity Brown was the guest judge for the competition and crowned Leilah Farrell, 9, the overall winner for her vibrant creation.

Other highlights of the morning included an egg and spoon race, face painting and a visit from the Easter Bunny.
