Police target Australia Day bad behaviour

SOUTH West police will be cracking down on anti-social behaviour at licensed premises this Australia Day Long Weekend as a part of an operation across regional WA.

The targeted operations will begin on Friday night where police resources will be customised to suit local needs.

South West Supt and Operation Commander Peter Hatch said this long weekend is a time to celebrate everything Australia has to offer and should be a time people look back on without regrets.

"All too often we see a small number of people drink more than they can handle, and unfortunately their behaviour has the potential to impact on other people around them," he said.
