BBC journalist high during report

A BBC journalist is high and breaks into a fit of giggles as he reports next to a pile of burning drugs.

Quentin Sommerville, a Middle East Correspondent, laughs uncontrollably as the fumes from the burning drugs take their toll.

In the video the reporter starts by explaining that behind him eight and a half tonnes of heroin, opium, hashish and other narcotics are burning.

He then smiles and breaks into fits of laughter and fails to regain his composure.

As the cameraman tries to shoot another take he also sounds like he’s high, laughing along with Sommerville.

Sommerville posted the link on YouTube as a Christmas present for his followers and tweeted: “Dear tweeps, it’s been a year of bullets & bloodshed. You’ve earned a xmas laugh, at my expense.”

He has since removed the footage and the tweet but not before it was picked up by other outlets and went viral.
