Jackson tribute set to thrill Perth

The West End musical spectacular celebrating *Michael Jackson *'s iconic music and dance moves kicks off its Australian leg in *Perth * today.

Thriller Live, which has become one of the longest-running shows on London's West End, showcases highlights from the King of Pop's 45-year musical career, from the Jackson 5 to his solo hits.

Dancer *David Olaniyi *said being part of the show was a chance to pay tribute to one of his childhood idols.

"As a child, the first thing I did after I started walking was try to dance like Michael Jackson," he told _AAA _.

"His songs go across every genre, from rock, to pop, to R&B. We're basically paying tribute to the legend that was Michael Jackson."

The show is packed with more than two hours of non-stop hits, recreating Jackson's phenomenal live performances, sleek dance moves and versatile voice.

Former Voice Australia contestant *Prinnie Stevens *has joined the cast of six singers and 12 dancers for the Australian and New Zealand legs of the show.

About 2.5 million fans have watched more than 3000 performances of the show globally since it opened at London's Lyric Theatre in 2009.

Thriller Live is on at *Crown Theatre *until December 21.
