Dog Rock Lotto win yet to be claimed

Dog Rock Newspower owner Bob Campbell and Nadine Candy are waiting for the lucky winner to claim their prize.

A bottle of celebratory champagne is ready and waiting at Dog Rock Newspower for the lucky Lotto division one winner to claim their prize.

The Albany newsagency sold one of two WA division one winning tickets, each worth $704,626, in last Saturday’s Lotto draw, but the prize is yet to be claimed.

A Mandurah man won the second division one prize, sold through Lotterywest Play Online.

It is the second division one prize to be sold in Albany this year, after Clark’s Newsagency sold a ticket worth $1.4 million in January.

Dog Rock Newspower owner Bob Campbell said it was exciting to hear the store had sold a big prize and he was waiting with anticipation to hear it has been claimed.

“We have a lot of regular customers who come back to us every week,” he said.

“It’s exciting for those who don’t know and come in to check their tickets … we’ve got the champagne sitting here ready to be uncorked.”

In 2011, Dog Rock Newspower sold a $2.1 million winning ticket.
