Police will prepare a report for the Coroner after the workplace death of a man in Gap Ridge, Karratha.
Officers were called to the site just before 8am today.
They confirmed that the 27-year-old man, who worked at the site, was dead.
"It appears he had been struck by a piece of machinery being operated at the work site," a police spokesman said.
"WorkSafe were advised and are attending the scene today to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident."
