Pool’s tiles to cost over half a million
The tiling of the South West Sports Centre’s 50m competition pool will cost $589,148.
The contract was awarded by the Bunbury City Council at Tuesday night’s council meeting to Safeway Building and Renovations. Council staff say the work is expected to be finished in September.
“The 50m competition pool has a vinyl pool liner that over time has had numerous repairs and upgrades which has resulted in significant down-time and expense, ” it says in a council report.
The council called for tenders for the works which will include removing the vinyl liner and replacing it with tiles.
