Syringe bandit steals pies from service station
A manhunt is underway for a brazen bandit involved in two early morning robberies involving a blood-filled syringe in Adelaide’s northern suburbs.
The man entered a service station on Bridge Rd at Para Hills just after 4.30am today and requested a twin pack of cigarettes and three pies.
He then pulled a blood-filled syringe from his pocket and threatened the shop attendant.
Police believe the suspect and another man committed a similar robbery about 20 minutes later at nearby Ronald Drive in Salisbury East.
The pair used a syringe to threaten a 25-year-old man walking to work and stole his mobile phone.
Police are reviewing the security video.
