Mugger 'rejects cheap phone'

A gun-wielding mugger has reportedly handed back his victim's phone because it was old and cheap.

Brooklyn man Kevin Cook, 25, was walking with a friend in Central Park around 12:30am when the pair were attacked,The New York Post reports.

The gunman and his accomplice, who allegedly threatened to kill the pair, snatched Cook's phone.

“Once he saw my phone, he looked at it like, ‘What the f–k is this?’ and gave it back to me,” Cook told The Post.

“It’s like a 3-year-old generation Windows phone."

“I guess he didn’t think he could get anything for it,” Cooke added.

“It’s kind of humorous.”

The gunman was reportedly wearing a dark-green coat and blue jeans, while his accomplice wore his long black hair in a ponytail.
