Thomas returns to the Scorchers
Short game specialist Alfonso Thomas will back back to bolster the Perth Scorchers in next month's Big Bash League.
Thomas was the club’s leading wicket-taker last season with 12 dismissals and returns as to fill the role as an international player in the Perth line-up.
The 36-year-old South African was regularly called on to bowl at the death for the Scorchers last year.
The Scorchers have filled 16 of the 18 places on their roster and can add one more international player before the start of the season.
Perth also announced former Test wicketkeeper and WA favourite Adam Gilchrist as the team's No.1 ticket holder.
