Man dead, woman injured in Darling Point stabbing

FIRST ON 7: One man is dead and and a woman is in hospital after a stabbing at a unit block in Sydney.

The incident happened just after 11am in the exclusive harbourside suburb of Darling Point.

Police say another man forced his way into the apartment when a fight broke out.

Paramedics and a number of police officers were called to Mona Road, after a neighbour reported the dispute.

Emergency crews tried to save the man but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

One person, with a white blanket covering their face, was seen being escorted from the apartment building to an ambulance.

A 28-year-old man handed himself in to police at St Mary's station around 2pm this afternoon.

He is currently helping officers with their inquiries.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
