Ruffo's hot on Henderson
Johnny Ruffo has joined fellow Perth X Factor success story Samantha Jade in throwing his support behind Taylor Henderson to win this year's series of the hit reality TV show.
The 20-year-old Victorian former labourer, who is up against pop diva Dami Im and teenage talent Jai Waetford in tomorrow's grand final, is hoping to improve on his previous shot at musical stardom when he reached the final of Australia's Got Talent in 2010.
"I'm a big fan of Taylor's and have been from the start," Ruffo, who came third on The X Factor in 2011, told AAA Weekend.
"He has an amazing voice and is such a down-to-earth guy. With a bit of luck, he'll win and, even if he doesn't, I'm sure he's going to have a very good career ahead of him if he works hard enough and stays focused."
And with the 2014 nationwide X Factor auditions to be held in Perth on January 18 and 19, Ruffo had this advice for the next crop of hopefuls.
"People just need to try and escape from the whole reality TV thing and see it as an opportunity and a platform to create a career," he said.
