Police have disclosed a fresh clue in the death of an amateur photographer at a Gooseberry Hill quarry more than two years ago as it was revealed that her death is now being treated as a suspected homicide.

Just a day after police appealed for the public's help in solving Morley woman Lina Suria Brayley's death at Statham's Quarry on February 27, 2011, hundreds of people had shared the appeal on social networking sites.

Police revealed they believed Mrs Brayley was with a middle-aged fair-skinned man on the Friday and Saturday evening before she died.

Police believe the man arrived in the area separately on a dark motorcycle.

Mrs Brayley, 37, was wearing a black top, white shorts and brown boots when she died and she travelled to the quarry in her black 2007 Honda Jazz.

Acting Det-Sen. Sgt Cameron Blaine said police wanted to hear from anyone who might have been in the area between February 25 and February 27, 2011.

It was first thought Mrs Brayley was in the area taking photographs and she slipped and fell to her death.
