Russian stars glittered in Perth's sunshine yesterday as Imperial Russian Ballet principal dancers Lina Seveliova and Nariman Bekzhanov stepped out.

The troupe of 45 dancers is on its fourth WA tour, its second in a year, straight after compatriots from the St Petersburg Ballet Theatre who toured last month.

Artistic director Gediminas Taranda is pleased by what seems to be an insatiable appetite for Russian ballet judging by responses to the three-hour show at the Regal Theatre.

The ballet tasting plate includes excerpts from The Nutcracker, Giselle, Carmen, The Dying Swan and Le Corsaire.
