Bear collision caught by helmet-cam
The moment a speeding motorcyclist crashed into a bear crossing the road has been captured by the rider’s helmet-cam.
Police in Canada released the vision as part of a campaign to warn drivers not to get distracted on the road.
The video shows the motorcyclist accelerating to around 140km/h on a road in Hope, British Columbia.
The young black bear darts across the road but is struck by the motorcyclist, who was staring at his speedometer until the last moment.
Both the rider and the bear were remarkably unhurt.
