Train carrying crude oil derails in Canada

A train carrying more than 70 tankers of crude oil derailed and burst into flames in the Canadian province of Quebec.

The train came off the tracks in the small town of Lac-Meganic in the province of Quebec, at around 3 a.m. ET on Saturday.

The blaze spread to nearby homes, and authorities evacuated the center of town and an aged-care home.

Firefighters from both countries rushed to fight the inferno.

So far there have been no reports of casualties.
