Men in wigs hold up Winston Hills bottleshop

Police are hunting two men who held up a western Sydney bottleshop wearing wigs. The duo also put on fake beards before charging into the store with a gun in broad daylight.

About 12:50pm on Sunday, the two men entered the liquor store on Lanhams Road, Winston Hills.

In clear view of security cameras, the men tied up the bottle-o employee, then force him to open the till.

One man wore a woman's wig - with long, blonde plaits. The other had a bright orange hairpiece.

Both wore large fake beards.

During the robbery the victim was able to activate a hold-up alarm before the armed men stole money from the safe and fled the scene in a small red car.

According to Detective Inspector Frank Gilroy from Parramatta Police: "There's nothing comical about what took place over there."
