Homeless woman contradicts Allenby's version

The homeless woman who allegedly came to the aid of golfer Robert Allenby after he was kidnapped, bashed and robbed in Hawaii seems to contradict his version of events.

Allenby said he had been at the Amuse Wine Bar in Waikiki on Friday night with his caddie and a friend before his ordeal unfolded and he woke up groggy in a park about six miles (10 km) away.

"I'm just glad to be alive," Allenby told Reuters on Saturday. "I was separated from my friend in the bar after we had paid the tab.

"Next thing you know, I'm being dumped in a park miles away. A homeless woman found me and told me she saw a few guys pull up and throw me out of a car. I'm still in a bit of shock.”

But the woman was interviewed last night and said she saw Allenby covered in blood, confused and arguing with two men on the street just a block from the wine bar where he was allegedly taken from.

He was offering to withdraw $500 in exchange for getting his wallet back.

The woman then said the two men became aggressive then and that is when the ex-military man came by and helped Allenby.

Many on social media have been questioning the sequence of events and Allenby’s family have come out saying there are ‘a lot of haters and skeptics on social media’.
