No one inside as police storm home to break Queensland siege
Police have stormed a home in a small rural town northwest of Brisbane, after a standoff believed to have been sparked by a failed carjacking.
Officers were seen trying to speak with a man since 9.15am on Friday at a house in Drem Street, Toogoolawah.
Police said officers attended to speak to a man in relation to an alleged robbery with violence earlier in the day in Ipswich.
A short time later police established an exclusion zone around the property.
Ultimately when officers raided the home, no one was inside.
