Police searching for woman at centre of vile racist bus rant
A woman’s been caught on camera delivering a savage racist rant on an Adelaide bus.
The anti-Chinese tirade was directed at passengers who spoke out against the ferocious abuse.
The rampage occurred on a Saturday afternoon inside a packed bus.
“Chinese f***ing people, you talk about disrespectful,” the woman can be heard screaming.
“They're not f***ing people, they're not f***ing Australian and she didn't f***ing pay for her f***ing ticket d*** head.”
The woman unleashed on her fellow passengers who stood up for an Asian woman and her child who boarded the bus to Mitcham.
“Wake up man. Close your f***ing eyes eh.” she continues.
“F***ing we're getting f***ing invaded by these f***ing c***s”.
When two other commuters intervened and yelled back at the woman, “You're a disgrace,” they began.
“Disgrace? You're a disgrace. We're f***ing living in f***ing Australia eh," the woman screamed back.
Bus drivers say rants such as this are all too common and are often sparked by drugs or mental illness.
They are calling for additional security.
The transport department is now working with police to find the culprit.
“We just want to see that massive increase on the buses not just to protect the drivers but the public themselves,” Union rep Ron Wilson he told 7 News.
“We do have people that ride on our various public transport (transit police who can monitor this behaviour) but we can't be everywhere at once,” Premiere Jay Weatherill told 7 News.
