Former reality TV cop now personal trainer, model

A former reality television police officer, who quit over her alleged relationship with an accused drug dealer, has reinvented herself as a model and personal trainer.

Cristina Cidade featured on the first season of Recruits before she resigned over claims she accessed confidential information on a police computer in late 2015.

Now the 29-year-old has launched her new business on the Gold Coast, CristyFit, which aims to help people “become the best version of themselves”.

Cidade is no stranger to the limelight, having taken a phone call from radio hosts Hamish and Andy while at a Kings Cross crime scene, and speaking live on air.

She faced disciplinary action for taking that radio call, but was never disciplined over her alleged association with an accused drug dealer as she resigned before any action was launched.

In November 2015, News Corp reported Cidade was called a “traitor” by a senior police officer over an alleged relationship with suspected drug dealer Kayle McElwee.
