Police speak with schoolboys over alleged attack on five-year-old girl

Alleged assault at NSW primary school (clone 1478173169)

Three Sydney students, who are believed to be primary school-aged boys, are being investigated over the alleged indecent assault of a five-year-old girl.

Police have confirmed they are "looking into an incident" which occurred at a southwest Sydney primary school on Wednesday.

Details of the alleged offence remain unclear, but the Department of Education has confirmed it is working with police on the matter.

Officers have visited the school where the alleged offence occurred with police also speaking with the three older children involved.

It comes after two 12-year-old Sydney schoolboys have appeared in court over an alleged sex attack on a young girl.

It's alleged the two boys raped a six-year-old girl at the school toilets in August.

Both boys are yet to enter any pleas to their charges.
