Kieren Jack’s girlfriend breaks down during game
Sydney Swans star Kieren Jack shared an emotional moment with his model girlfriend, and former Miss Universe Australia, Charlotte Goodlet last night.
Reported to be the cause of a bitter family feud between Jack and his parents, Goodlet was spotted crying in the stands when Jack kicked the opening goal of the game.
The build up to Jack’s 200th AFL game was intense, with the family dispute coming to a head when his mother posted about it on social media.
It has also been reported that Jack's mother sent "abusive" text messages to Goodlet.
Kieren broke his silence on Wednesday, only to say it was a "private matter" and that he would stand by his girlfriend of three years.
During Wednesday's press conference, Kieren said it has been tough on Charlotte and said "she doesn’t deserve the treatment she has received".
“She is strong, she is an independent woman and not just a model. I love her very much and I am very proud of her,” the AFL star told reporters.
The feud resulted in Jack banning both of his parents from attending the game, refusing to allow them the chance to share the momentous experience.
He then gave their tickets to Goodlet’s parents instead, who were pictured alongside their daughter during the game against Geelong.
Jack’s parents, Donna and Gary, allegedly “disapprove” of their son’s three-year relationship with Charlotte, the Daily Mail has reported.
Photos have revealed the young couple talking intimately in the changerooms during the game, in which Jack scored another two more goals to bring Sydney to a win.
Sydney scored well over the Geelong Cats with a significant margin of 98-60, putting them a mere four points behind board leaders Hawthorn.
Jack was chaired off field by his team-mates to honour his 200th game, but told FoxFooty that the win was the “main thing he focused on.”
