Toddler miraculously survives after unsuspecting mum runs over his head
A toddler has miraculously survived being run over by his own mother in a heart-stopping accident caught on camera in Brazil.
The two-year-old was running towards his mother's car, excited to see her as she arrived home from work when the near-tragedy occurred.
The unsuspecting mother didn't see her child approach the bumper bar of her car and continued to slowly accelerate as she turned into her garage.
Shocking footage showed the baby being knocked backwards before the front wheel of the turning car ran directly over the child's head.
The woman drives off camera, leaving her child sprawled on her driveway.
Then, amazingly, he gets back up. The small boy picks himself up and continues to follow his mum into the garage.
Rita de Cassia Moreira told local media she did not see her son on the driveway, and thought it was a miracle he survived.
“God put his hand over my son’s head and made sure nothing bad happened to him.
“I thank the Lord he is okay.
“He’s not complaining about being in any pain.”
The boy's dad Marcifranci Oliveira Lopes said the toddler required six stitches to his head, but avoided any major injuries.
"They are only light injuries. He’s already playing around again. It’s amazing.”
