His father was angry and on the attack when he met reporters outside the court on Monday, asking “what do you want? What do you want with me?” and repeatedly telling those present to “F**k off”.

He grabbed the 7 News camera, pushing it down toward the ground, and made a swipe at the reporter's microphone.

Mr Rapovski was arrested on Sunday night at Melbourne airport.

He has been charged with the murder of Mohammed Hassan, whose body was found inside a Kingsbury hotel room on Saturday night.

It was one of three shootings in Melbourne over the weekend.

In court on Monday morning, Mr Rapovski said nothing. His mother blew him a kiss, then outside, unleashed against the media

“I'll punch you in the f**king face,” she said.

Mohammed Hassan was inside the Parkside Motel on Saturday night with at least two others, when guests heard a gunshot ring out.

By the time police arrived at the scene, they had left.

Albert Rapovski was arrested 24 hours later.

The court heard that Rapovski was worried that he and his family were at risk of payback and that they feared for their safety.

Rapovski's lawyer asked the court to suppress his client's image, but the magistrate refused.

Rapovski is in custody and will appear in court again in July.
