Interactive 3D tour gives viewers an inside look at Buckingham Palace

If you’ve ever wondered what Buckingham Palace looks like on the inside, you’re now able to have a private tour of the famous landmark right in the comfort of your own home.

The palace has opened its doors to the internet, with Google developing a virtual tour including guides and even background music.

“Hello, you’re in Buckingham Palace, which is the official residence of Her Majesty The Queen,” a friendly tour guide says at the royal gates.

The interactive video is viewed through YouTube and is designed in a 360 format so you can direct yourself through the palace.

The Buckingham Palace Expedition takes you through all of the grand rooms where you can gaze at classic paintings and even view a secret door.

And what’s a trip to the palace without a visit to the throne room.

"Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth's throne is on the left,” the tour guide says.
