Son of Celebrity Apprentice host claims 'cops bashed me for no reason'

The son of an Australian celebrity has found himself in hot water again – this time over an alleged case of police brutality at a Gold Coast strip club.

Dane Bouris, son of Celebrity Apprentice Australia host Mark Bouris, posted a photo to his Instagram page of his bloodied face lying on a blood-stained pillow.

The picture, which has since been removed, was captioned: 'GC weak (expletive) cops bashed me for no reason, no charges ... It aint right'.

The 34-year-old was enjoying a night out at Hollywood Showgirls, the self-proclaimed ‘hottest gentleman’s club’ in Australia, when he claimed he was a victim of police brutality.

The club’s manager James Olsson said Bouris was ‘getting aggressive’ and was asked to leave.

He told The Daily Telegraph the man ‘who went ape****’ refused to leave the venue prompting three security guards to forcefully remove him.

Mr Olsson said any injuries to Mr Bouris probably would have occurred during his eviction from the club rather than after the incident when Bouris was with police.

“I don’t think cops have done anything to him — they just picked him up and took him away,” he said.

Gold Coast police Superintendent Craig Hanlon said Mr Bouris was already bleeding by the time police arrived.

“I’ve got no evidence to support his allegations he was assaulted by police,” he told the Telegraph.

“If he has any allegations against the police in relation to their behaviour, he can contact the QPS or the Crime and Corruption Commission.”

He was issued an infringement notice for public nuisance.

Mr Bouris was in trouble with the law only a few months ago, after allegations he choked his girlfriend and ripped out her hair extensions during an argument.

He was let off with a fine following the incident in November.
