Man struck in the face with wooden plank in family feud
WARNING: GRAPHIC IMAGES AND VIDEO BELOW: Two teenage boys have been charged with assault and affray after hitting a man in the face with a plank of wood.
The boys, believed to be brothers, confronted the 24-year-old man in the middle of a Killarney Vale street on the NSW Central Coast, each armed with a long plank of wood.
The older man is also believed to be related to the brothers, the Daily Mail reports.
The December 20 footage shows the men as they meet on the road, yelling loudly at one another and using obscene language.
The older man holds his fists in the air in a boxing stance while the smaller attacker takes a swipe at his head with the plank.
He misses – this time.
The confrontation moves over to the median strip, and with onlookers standing near by, two of the men stand face-to-face and continue their string of verbal abuse.
“Lay a finger on me,” the boy dares, before pushing the man in the chest.
“You don’t scare me one f***ing bit.”
As he steps back, the second boy launches into action, smacking the plank into the man’s face with full force and an audible thud.
He drops to the ground and covers his face as the attackers flee down the street.
A photo of the open wound was posted to Facebook after the incident.
It is unclear what the family had been arguing over when the dispute began.
