Man charged after Brighton Le Sands ice cream shop brawl

A 25-year-old man has been charged with affray and possessing steroids following a violent Christmas Eve brawl outside a Sydney restaurant.

Video caught six men throwing kicks, punches and chairs during outside a busy shopping strip at Brighton Le Sands after an argument quickly turned violent.

Horrified families watched the public dust-up kicked off after a group of men approached three others dining outside the icecream shop at about 11pm on Thursday.

One man was knocked unconscious in the fight but refused any treatment, while most others involved in the brawl fled before emergency workers arrived.

Detectives arrested one man in San Souci, south Sydney, late on Sunday afternoon and allegedly found 150 vials of steroids inside his car.

The man has been charged with affray and possessing a prohibited drug and will appear at Sutherland Local Court on January 21.

In video of the brawl the person filming can be heard saying ‘that guy’s not OK’.

A man in a white t-shirt can be seen copping a serious of hits to the head before he is brutally hit with a chair four times.

Eventually he is pushed to the ground and met with a number of kicks to the head.

The man manages to escape and declined medical treatment.

Families watched on as it all unfolded and an icecream store employee can be seen slamming the front door shut and running to the back of the store in fear, terrified by what was unfolding around her.

Police from the St George Local Area Command released descriptions of three men who may be able to assist police with their inquiries.

One man is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, of medium build, aged in his 20s, with short dark hair and facial stubble. At the time he was wearing a red shirt, black tracksuit pants, and white runners.

The second man is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, of medium build, aged in his 20s, with short dark hair and facial stubble. At the time he was wearing light grey shorts, a grey/green t-shirt, and white runners.

The third man is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, aged in his 20s, of large build with short dark hair. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a blue t-shirt, black shorts, and highlighter yellow / green runners.
