Creepy looking 'alien-like' creature sparks internet frenzy
Photos of a creepy looking, half developed creature have caused a frenzy about where it came from.
Gianna Peponis, from California, posted images of the unusual creature, stating: “I wasn't gunna [sic] post this but I can't stop trying to figure out wtf this thing is.
I heard something scream at like 11.30 last night and went out on my side yard and found this thing.
“It was dead when I found it... Share with your friends.”
The photos were first shared on Facebook but later uploaded to Reddit where users started to debate the creature’s origin.
One Reddit user said it was 'clearly an alien', while another said it was 'definitely a facehugger' - the creatures from the Alien films.
Others offered more sensible suggestions such as it was most likely a dead animal.
