Jet truck destroys raceway 'warming up' at drag show

Jet trucks are famous for their power, but even this driver underestimated their potential at a recent drag show.

Video shows Shockwave, a specially built jet truck that currently holds the Guinness World Record for jet-truck speed, ‘warming up’ before a race in Ohio.

As it revs its three engines, jets of fire can be seen shooting out behind it, sending black smoke billowing down the raceway.

So powerful are the blasts, they actually blow up bitumen from the road.

As the truck edges towards the starting line, it leaves a trail of destruction in its wake before taking off with incredible speed and tearing down the raceway.

This isn't the first time a stunt has gone wrong, for all the world to see.

When a stunt nosedives

A diver's worst nightmare came true at the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series recently.

American Steven LoBue smashed his head on the diving board while attempting a back triple somersault with four twists from 27.5 metres high.

Despite the mishap, LoBue managed to land feet first in the water as intended.

If you've always associated fire breathing with unnecessary danger, then this performer just proved your point.

Trash the dress stunt sinks

This is proof that no amateur should ever attempt a potentially dangerous stunt, or worse, film it!

Newly weds Amy and Eric Zuno jumped in the water from a boat following their wedding for what was supposed to be a trash the dress video.

Things suddenly went desperately wrong as the bride was pulled under by the weight of her water soaked gown.
