UK’s youngest-ever mum raped by brother

A young woman has spoken publicly for the first time about how she fell pregnant to her brother after he raped her when she was just 11-years-old.

Tressa Middleton, from the United Kingdom, became one of the world’s youngest-ever mothers when she gave birth to a little girl named Annie in 2006.

Speaking about her ordeal on UK TV show This Morning, Tressa said she is still haunted by what happened to her.

The now 22-year-old said her brother Jackson had always been “loving one minute and different the next”.

One afternoon, the then 16-year-old took Tressa to an old warehouse near their West Lothian home and violently assaulted her.

Soon after, she began noticing changes in her body.

“I eventually did a pregnancy test and it came up I was pregnant,” Tressa told hosts Amanda and Phil.

“I was too scared to tell my mum, so I told my aunt and then ran away.

“Mum was furious but she calmed down eventually.”

For many years, Tressa told people the baby was the result of a drunken night out but at the age of 14, she finally revealed to a friend what had really happened.

Jackson was arrested and senetenced to four years in jail.

Tragically, Tressa was forced to give her daughter up for adoption.

“I just hope one day [Annie] does forgive me,” she says in her new book: The 12-Year-Old Mum.

“I know it’s going to be hard for her to find out her uncle is actually her dad.

"I hope she doesn’t blame me for staying quiet.”

Tressa hopes her story will encourage woman in similar situations to speak out.
