NSW Central Coast drug bust worth $110,000

A tip off to police has led to a $110,000 drug bust on the NSW Central Coast.

Officers have charged a 29-year-old man after they seized cannabis plants from a home near Gosford about 1.45pm on Friday.

Following information provided through Crime Stoppers, police launched an investigation.

Officers found almost 50 cannabis plants and more than 1.2kg of what is believed to be cannabis as well as hydroponic drug equipment following a search of the Narara Valley Drive home in Narara.

The 29-year-old was arrested at the scene and taken to Gosford Police Station.

He will face Gosford Local Court on November 4, charged with cultivation, possession and supply of a prohibited drug.

He was granted bail.

The estimated potential street value of the illicit drugs seized is believed to be more than $110,000.
