SA teenager dies in car crash on NT border

A teenage boy died and four others were injured in a car crash on the South Australian and Northern Territory border.

A car with five people inside rolled about 5km south of the border on the Stuart Highway on Sunday evening, police say.

A 15-year-old boy from South Australia died at the scene and four others have been treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Three adults and one child were flown by two Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) crews about 8pm to Alice Springs Hospital.

This death takes the road toll to 72, compared with 77 at the same time last year.
