No siege at Logan hospital: police

Queensland police have denied reports of a siege at Logan Hospital, south of Brisbane.

Police were called to the hospital at 3.30pm on Wednesday.

Early reports suggested there may have been hostages involved in the incident; however, police quickly shut down the speculation.

"It was just a tense situation," a police spokesman told AAP.

A spokeswoman from the Metro South Hospital and Health Service would not comment on the situation and referred questions to Queensland police.

All officers had left the hospital shortly after 4.00pm, a police spokesman said.

He referred to the incident as a "storm in a teacup".

"There was just a man being obnoxious to staff."
