NSW police investigate fatal shooting
Detectives are investigating the shooting death of a man in northern NSW.
Police say a post mortem examination will officially determine how the 51-year-old died.
They say officers along with ambulance paramedics were called to a property about 55 kilometres north of Moree on the Newell Highway, where they found the body of the victim late on Tuesday afternoon.
Fairfax Media says the man was a NSW Department of Environment and Heritage worker and had been serving a notice at the property in relation to the clearing of vegetation. It is thought he was with a colleague at the time.
