Child accused of attacking teacher with scissors

An 11-year-old child has been accused of attacking a teacher at school in Bargo, in Sydney's Macarthur Region.

Police and paramedics were called to Bargo Primary School on Thursday morning after reports of an assault.

The school was put into lockdown after the student allegedly threatened a teacher with a pair of scissor and hurled objects at him.

Officers said the scissors narrowly missed another student.

The teacher suffered a grazed arm and the school went into lockdown as a precaution.

The school has since returned to normal and police have spoken to the student.

Investigations are continuing.
