Girl dies after being hit by car
A two-year-old girl has died after she was hit by a car at Port Pirie yesterday afternoon.
Police say the toddler was hit by the car at about 4pm on Sunday after she ran out onto a road from the driveway of her home on Port Davis Rd.
She was rushed to hospital and then airlifted to the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Adelaide last night, but died from her injuries this morning.
Major Crash is investigating.
The girl’s death takes South Australia's road toll to 44.
