Seekers' singer suffers brain haemorrhage

Australian music legend, Seekers' frontwoman Judith Durham, is in hospital after suffering a brain haemorrhage during the band's 50th anniversary tour.

Durham, 69, complained of feeling ill after coming off stage during the band's opening show in Melbourne last night.

She was rushed to a Melbourne Hospital at around 1am where doctors diagnosed her with a 'small cerebral haemorrhage'.

"She was coming back from the show when she said to her PA, 'I just don't feel right, something is wrong'," publicist Dianna O'Neill said.

"She went back to her room but it was quickly clear that she wasn’t well and they called and an ambulance took her to hospital."

Durham is said to be in 'good spirits' and is undergoing a range of tests.

Tonight's concert at Melbourne's Hamer Hall has been postponed and the remaining dates of The Seekers Golden Jubilee Tour will be rescheduled.

Tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled dates, which will be announced as soon as possible.

The Seekers' big hits include Georgy Girl, I'll Never Find Another You, and Georgy Girl.
