Shoppers storm in for Anzac Day trade

Anzac Day shopping in Adelaide’s CBD promised to be a blockbuster, and retailers were not left disappointed.

A flood of customers lined up at the recently-opened Rundle Place before doors opened at midday today, with many who attended the Anzac Day march heading straight to the food court.

Rundle Mall management made no apologies for the slogan - ‘trading with Respect’.

Some car parks also donated 50 cents per car to the RSL.

Public holiday shopping, including Anzac Day, is set to become a tradition in the city with the Premier recently ruling out suburban shopping centres cashing in.
