Big love: Herd of elephants run to greet orphaned baby elephant

The heart-melting moment an overly excited herd of elephants stampede towards an orphaned baby elephant has been captured on film.

The vision shows several adult elephants eagerly running towards an enclosure where baby ‘Dok Geaw’ was waiting.

The adults poke their long trucks through the enclosure to touch and smell the latest adorable addition to their herd.

Baby ‘Dok Geaw’ was rescued by the Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and is a little over a year and a half in age.

He arrived at the park late last week after losing his mother when he was merely four months old.

His mother was used as a logging elephant and following his birth she suffered complications and a prolapsed uterus.

The baby is still being bottle-fed and is expected to live his life out at the elephant retreat.
