Brazen armed robber holds up Aldi worker with knife

A brazen armed robber remains on the run after holding up an Aldi supermarket attendant in Melbourne's south-east on Sunday.

It is believed an unknown man threatened a worker with a knife the Carrum Downs store on Frankston – Dandenong Road about 7.10pm.

Police have released CCTV security footage of the incident, showing a man threatening the attendant with a knife, then pointing it at customers standing at the checkout.

The man can be seen standing beside the worker who then opens the till.

The offender, wearing a black hooded jacket, brown pants and distinctive red Adidas running shoes, reportedly demanded cash before running from the supermarket.

No one was injured during the incident.

Detectives are hoping someone may be able to assist them with their enquiries.
