Aussie kid delivers 12 baby stingrays with bare hands

An audacious young Queensland boy has delivered 12 baby stingrays with his bare hands after finding the mother in labour.

Miller Wilson spotted the stingray cruising in the water at his "favourite catching spot".

"After going for a 30 minute walk up the beach, I came back to find a Stingray lying next to my Kayak!!" Miller writes on YouTube.

Video shows the young boy carefully lifting the "big mama" up out of the water and gently resting her up onto his chest.

It is then that Miller notices the tail of a baby popping out of the female stingray.

"So this one is actually giving birth as we speak," he tells the camera.

To his surprise Miller gently pulls out two baby stingrays, leaving another tail in it's place ready to be delivered.

"Look at that!" Miller exclaims. "Aren't they just adorable."

The youngster goes on to deliver another 10 baby stingrays and places them together on the bank of the river as the 'mama' rests.

"So after thinking that there was something wrong with her, I found out that she was pregnant... and I ended up delivering 12 Baby Stingrays!!"

He has a YouTube channel where he regularly "puts himself in amazing situations" and makes his educational videos so people can 'love animals as much as he does'.

These barbed sea creatures are ovoviviparous and bear live young in "litters" of five up to 13. Here a few of our favourite ray videos.
