Bear family cools off in New Jersey family's backyard pool
A mother bear and her five cubs went for a dip in a US family's pool, having "the time of their lives" while destroying the children's floaties.
The Basso family of Rockaway Township in New Jersey found the bear family cooling off in their pool from the summer heat while playing with the children's toys and equipment.
The black bears cubs clambered in and out of the water as mumma bathed and splashed about.
"That's it. The pool's done for the summer," said Tim Basso to his wife Justyna and their two children aged three and five.
The two children cried as the bears played with their toys, pulling them to pieces.
"I wish the bears were in someone else's yard, not ours," said one of the children.
But like the mumma bear herself, Justyna Basso said: "Well, I'm enjoying it."
Animal control was called, CBS reports, taking 20 minutes to arrive as the family watched the bear family having the time of their lives in the backyard.
The bears bailed over the back fence shortly after the police came to the Basso home.
