Homes damaged, car windows smashed in party chaos
Three people have been assaulted and homes damaged after an out-of-control party spilled onto a Gold Coast street.
About 60 people swarmed the Varsity Lakes street as motorbike helmets were thrown at house windows.
A car was damaged in the chaos, and when the owners came outside, they were attacked.
Police were called in to break up the gathering, following reports of damage to the host's house.
Rubbish and debris from the damage - including a broken television - were left scattered on the road.
Before officers arrived, the partygoers, mostly teenagers, started to leave.
Police are calling for witnesses to come forward.
