Obama shows fun side in online video
US President Barack Obama has cracked out the selfie stick and showed he is not afraid of having a bit of fun in a new video promoting his healthcare policy.
In the Buzzfeed video, titled ‘Things everyone does but doesn’t talk about’, Obama checks himself out in the mirror, pulls a few funny faces, and practices his healthcare sell.
Then he whips out the selfie stick to take a couple snaps before drawing a picture of his wife Michelle, declaring to himself ‘that’s pretty good’.
He even faces the real-life struggle of his cookies not fitting into his glass of milk for dunking.
And then when he is busted practicing his basketball skills in his office, he responds with a simple ‘can’t I live?’ before ending the video with a ‘YOLO man’ and a big grin.
The video is designed to capture the attention of younger people and get them on board with his signature healthcare reforms.
Already viewed millions of times, the video has caused a stir on social media, and while many have embraced the president’s efforts, some are unimpressed.
Obama's Buzzfeed video was genuinely funny. And brilliant.
