Fannemel profits from Freund disqualification

Titisee-Neustadt (Germany) (AFP) - Norway's Anders Fannemel won the second World Cup ski-jumping event at Titisee-Neustadt in Germany on Sunday after Severin Freund was disqualified.

Freund had won the first round at the venue on Saturday and was leading the second when he fell foul of the judges.

Fannemel scored 285.2 points (135.5m + 143.5) to beat Olympic champion Kamil Stoch of Poland (274.8 pts, 135.5 + 143.5) into second with Czech Roman Koudelka (273.3 pts, 131.5 + 140.5) third.

Austria's Stefan Kraft, who won the Four Hills tournament, finished fifth but maintained his overall World Cup lead.
