Police hunting two men after three armed robberies

Possible links between gunpoint robberies

Police are investigating a string of armed robberies in South Brisbane on Friday night.

It's believed two men held up three separate businesses at gunpoint.

The first incident occurred at an Indian restaurant in Morningside around 9.20pm (AEST), when the men produced a firearm and knife and made demands for cash before fleeing the scene when staff refused.

The men then targeted a convenience store in Coorparoo around 10.25pm (AEST),

They threatened an attended with weapons and stole cash and cigarettes.

The third incident occurred around 11.20pm (AEST), when two men entered a grocery store at Eight Mile Plains and made demands for cash.

The suspects are described as being Pacific Islander in appearance, aged in their early 20s.
