Police appeal for missing Sydney man

Police fear for the safety of an intellectually disabled man who went missing in Sydney at the weekend.

Gabriel Williams, 44, was last seen on Saturday at a hotel on Scott Street, Liverpool, in Sydney's southwest.

He was at the hotel with his sister, who told police he did not return after using the toilet about 8pm.

Gabriel requires medication and is known to wander around parks and railway stations.

He is described as being of Aboriginal-Torres Strait Islander appearance, with a large build. He weighs about 120kg and has short black hair.

At the time he went missing, Gabriel was wearing a black zip-up jumper over an orange T-shirt, blue jeans, grey shoes and a blue baseball cap with a superman "S" on the front.

Anyone who sees Gabriel is advised not to approach him and call triple-zero.
